Where the money comes from

There’s not a week of the year goes by without money being raised for Cash for Kids and it all comes from Northsound listeners and Cash for Kids supporters. There are as many different ways of raising money as there are donors.

A couple of years ago Sandy Menzies the jeweller created a stunning gold and diamond necklace and raffled it for Cash for Kids.
Sometimes party-givers ask their guests for a donation rather than a present and give the money to CFK. Other people light up their homes and gardens at Christmas time and ask passers-by for donations. Not all money comes from events. You can persuade your workplace to recycle ink cartridges and mobile phones and nominate Cash for Kids as the charity to benefit. This brings in about £1,000 a year. Some workplaces adopt Cash for Kids as their charity of the year and raise money over 12 months.

Every donation matters to Cash for Kids, whether it’s £5 or £5,000. Every single penny goes towards helping disabled and disadvantaged children in the Grampian area. If you have an idea, get in touch. If you would like to help but aren’t sure how, get in touch.

Spree Publications invited Courage the Cat to join them at The Mall to raise money for Cash for Kids.
All the cash for Kids money is raised locally and distributed locally
