The Active Nation Scottish Cup!

Active Nation Cup Celebration
Date: 14 May 2010
Time: 1200hrs – 1400hrs
Venue: George Square, Glasgow
This year’s Scottish Cup is being supported by Active Nation – the campaign to encourage Scots to get active and get more out of life.
To help get the party started ahead of the Scottish Cup Final on 15 May, an Active Nation Cup Celebration will be staged in George Square on Friday 14 May.
The focal point will be the culmination of a cycle race between Dundee United and Ross County fans who are cycling the road to Hampden from their respective home towns. When the six cyclists reach Glasgow, they’ll have pedalled almost a thousand miles to help motivate their teams to victory, and inspire others to lead more active, healthier lives.
Passers-by will get the chance to have their picture taken with the Cup, watch fitness displays from Scotland’s Rockettes and the Glasgow Club, test their fitness levels and get ‘Shape Up’ nutritional advice. Active Nation PAG teams will move in and around the crowd encouraging people to set their goals to get active, have fun and feel good. Fruit giveaways, special Cup smoothies and goody bags will also be on offer courtesy of the Co-op.
